Sean L. Moore is a founding partner at Moore & Goodman, P.A. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University in 1974 and his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1977. He was born in New York in 1951 and has been a resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida since 1968.

Mr. Moore counsels and litigates in a wide range of civil cases, including personal injury, maritime, probate, family law, and commercial cases. He has successfully tried numerous cases in all of these areas of the law. Mr. Moore focuses a large portion of his practice on admiralty and maritime cases including those involving the Jones Act, however, he also practices extensively in the areas of law listed below. Mr. Moore has represented clients and collected millions of dollars in damages on their behalf for injuries suffered aboard boats and vessels as well as in many other types of accidents. Mr. Moore has also represented many maritime businesses throughout his career.

In addition, Mr. Moore has handled many maritime and admiralty cases involving not only boating accidents, but boat manufacturing liability, diving and offshore injuries, marine insurance, longshoreman and harbor-worker’s compensation act, maritime liens, products liability, property damages, salvage, and maritime contracts.

Mr. Moore is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, and is active in many industry and professional groups. Mr. Moore is a certified diver, a founding member of the FSU Skydiving Club and has extensive yachting experience.

Mr. Moore is married to Teri, a licensed general contractor and real estate broker who has been involved in building thousands of homes in South East Florida, and is the proud father of Andre. Mr. Moore and his wife have been active in several community organizations including Children’s Home Society, Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, Cystic Fibrosis, and All Saints Episcopal Church.
