Bruce A. Goodman was born in New York in 1961. He attended The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a major in accounting in 1983. He passed the Certified Public Accounting Examination in 1983. Thereafter, he attended the School of Law of the University of Miami where he graduated cum laude in 1986. From September 1986 through June 1999, he was with the law firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, P.A. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, concentrating in the fields of commercial and civil litigation. Mr. Goodman was a partner in Ruden, McClosky from January 1994 through June 1999. Thereafter, he started his own practice as a partner in the law firm of Moore & Goodman, P.A. Mr. Goodman's business and legal education have enabled him to effectively handle litigation matters for both business entities and individuals in cases involving commercial transactions and disputes of many types. For instance, he has effectively represented clients in commercial litigation cases involving breach of contract, secured transactions, fraud, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty, trademark infringement, securities violations and real estate disputes (including cases involving defective title claims, mortgage foreclosures and landlord-tenant eviction matters). Mr. Goodman has also effectively handled litigation matters involving shareholder and partnership disputes and dissolutions, and complex accounting issues. Mr. Goodman has broad experience in representing both creditors and debtors and has handled a number of cases involving extraordinary remedies, including effectively utilizing the replevin, garnishment and fraudulent transfer statutes to recover debts for his creditor clients. Mr. Goodman is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Goodman is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell (indicating a "very high to pre-eminent legal ability and very high ethical standards as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar").
